The SDM100GA Linear Plain Bearing exemplifies steel's uncompromising performance in ultra-heavy-duty 100mm motion systems, delivering unparalleled durability for the most demanding industrial applications. This massive bearing harnesses high-grade steel's exceptional material properties to withstand extreme loads while maintaining precise alignment in critical machinery. The steel construction provides unmatched resistance to deformation under substantial stress, ensuring reliable operation in steel mills, heavy presses, and industrial automation systems where failure is not an option. Steel's natural hardness significantly reduces wear between sliding surfaces, extending service life in continuous-operation environments where maintenance access proves challenging. The material's vibration-damping characteristics enhance stability in high-capacity applications, while its thermal stability maintains consistent performance across varying operating conditions. Precision-machined surfaces promote smooth linear motion while preserving steel's load-bearing advantages in 100mm shaft systems. This bearing proves particularly valuable in applications where both massive strength and precision movement are required, from giant CNC machining centers to heavy material handling systems. Engineers specify this steel plain bearing when designing industrial equipment that pushes the boundaries of scale and performance, valuing its ability to combine traditional material strength with modern precision engineering. The robust construction ensures reliable performance through millions of cycles, making it ideal for mission-critical applications where component failure would result in catastrophic downtime. This bearing demonstrates steel's continued dominance in applications where alternative materials simply cannot meet the extreme demands of industrial-scale motion systems.
② Features of linear bearings
1.The linear ball bearing comprises an outer race, a retainer, balls, and end rings. The retainer, housed within the outer race, features three or more rows of elliptical ball tracks that enable continuous ball circulation with minimal friction. The end rings secure the retainer at both ends of the outer race.
2.One side of the parallel straight sections of the elliptical ball tracks is open, allowing the balls to contact the shaft surface. This design permits unlimited back-and-forth ball movement along the tracks in response to the shaft’s linear reciprocating motion. Consequently, the retainer not only guides the rolling motion but also prevents ball displacement when the bearing is disengaged from the shaft.
