The Original HIWIN HGR30 is a size 30 profile rail for the HIWIN HG Series heavy-duty ball-type linear guideway. This page is specifically for the rail-only configuration. Guide blocks, mounting bolts and other accessories are not included unless they are separately listed and confirmed in the quotation.
HGR30 rails are used with the corresponding HIWIN HG30 square and flange guide blocks. The HG Series uses a four-row ball circulation structure and is selected for machine axes that require high load capacity, rigidity, stable travel and controlled linear guidance. Typical purchasing requirements include replacement rails, new machine builds, matched rail-and-block sets and rails cut to a specified overall length.
The HGR30 rail should not be selected only by nominal size. Before ordering, confirm the complete rail code, required length, mounting-hole layout, end distances, accuracy grade, matching block models and preload requirement of the complete guideway assembly.
For replacement work, a worn rail should be evaluated together with the existing blocks. Fitting used blocks onto a new rail without checking wear, preload and accuracy can result in uneven resistance or unsatisfactory running accuracy.

The dimensions above apply to the standard HGR30R top-mounting rail structure. The final rail model and order code must be confirmed against the official quotation and the customer’s machine drawing.
Dynamic load rating, static load rating and permissible moment depend on the selected guide block and the complete rail-and-block assembly. These values should not be presented as independent load ratings of the rail alone.
| Block Model | Block Type | Load Type / Structure | Use Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| HGH30CA | Square block | Heavy-load, standard-length structure | Compact block selected where a square top-mounting platform is required. |
| HGH30HA | Square block | Super-heavy-load, long structure | Longer square block for applications requiring increased load and moment capacity. |
| HGW30CC | Flange block | Heavy-load, standard-length structure | Wide flange mounting platform with top or bottom block mounting options. |
| HGW30HC | Flange block | Super-heavy-load, long structure | Long flange block for higher load and moment requirements where installation space permits. |
The listed blocks are official HG30 Series matching models for HGR30 rails. Blocks are not included with the rail unless the quotation clearly identifies a rail-and-block set and specifies the block quantity.
Block selection affects assembly height, mounting footprint, load capacity and permissible moments. Confirm whether the machine requires a square HGH block or a flange-type HGW block before issuing the purchase order.
For an HGR30 rail-only order, the confirmed interchangeable accuracy codes are C, H and P. The required grade must match the blocks, machine-base accuracy and positioning requirement.
C is the normal accuracy grade used for general machinery and standard automation applications. H is the high accuracy grade used where tighter running parallelism and dimensional control are required. P is the precision grade for accurately machined installations and more demanding positioning systems.
Do not select a higher accuracy grade unless the rail mounting surfaces, reference shoulders and assembly process can support it. A precision rail installed on an inaccurately machined base will not by itself produce a precision axis.
The applicable preload codes for the complete HG guideway assembly are Z0, ZA and ZB. Preload is produced by the relationship between the rail, block and rolling elements. It is therefore not an independent performance characteristic of a loose rail.
Z0 is used for light-preload arrangements and general motion requirements. ZA provides increased rigidity for machine systems with suitable mounting accuracy. ZB is a heavy-preload option for high-rigidity applications and requires careful control of mounting flatness, alignment and operating conditions.
When ordering a rail to work with existing blocks, provide the full block marking, accuracy code and preload code. A rail and block with different accuracy or preload specifications should not be assumed to form a correctly matched assembly.
Confirm the required rail length from the machine drawing rather than estimating it from axis travel. Overall rail length, usable stroke, block length, block quantity, safety clearance and end-position requirements are different values.
HGR30 uses an 80 mm standard mounting-hole pitch. The end distances depend on the selected total rail length and cutting layout. Before production, confirm whether standard end distances are acceptable or whether the first and last mounting-hole positions must follow an existing machine base.
Cut-to-length service can be reviewed according to the required overall length. The final cutting tolerance, end-distance layout and delivery lead time must be confirmed before order. Do not machine the equipment base until the approved rail drawing or confirmed hole layout has been received.
For lengths that exceed practical manufacturing or transport limits, a jointed rail arrangement may be reviewed. Jointed rails require clearly matched joint marks, controlled mounting references and an installation sequence that maintains alignment through the joint. A jointed rail should not automatically be treated as equivalent to a one-piece rail for every precision application.
Where multiple parallel rails are used, identify the reference rail, reference side and assembly orientation. Rail straightness cannot compensate for a twisted or uneven mounting base. The mounting surfaces and shoulders should be checked before tightening the rail bolts in sequence.
Standard surface condition and any optional surface treatment must be confirmed through the complete HIWIN order code. Do not assume that a standard HGR30 rail is stainless steel or suitable for corrosive, food-contact, cleanroom or outdoor environments without a separate material and treatment review.
Cross-brand model references are for selection comparison only. Rails and blocks from different brands cannot be mixed. For replacement projects, replace the rail and block as a complete set from the same brand.
No. This is a rail-only page. HGH30CA, HGH30HA, HGW30CC and HGW30HC blocks must be listed separately in the quotation, together with the required quantity.
The confirmed HG30 matching block families are HGH30CA, HGH30HA, HGW30CC and HGW30HC. Select the square or flange structure and standard or long block according to the mounting footprint and load requirement.
Custom length can be reviewed. Provide the required overall rail length, quantity and preferred end-hole layout. The final length tolerance and end distances must be confirmed before production.
It may be possible only after checking the full block code, accuracy grade, preload, wear condition and running condition. For a worn machine, replacing both the rails and blocks as a matched set is generally the more controlled solution.
No direct mixing should be assumed. Similar nominal sizes do not guarantee identical raceway geometry, tolerances or preload conditions. Cross-brand model references are for selection comparison only. Replace the rail and block as a complete set from the same brand.
Please provide the rail quantity, total length of each rail, matching block model and quantity, accuracy grade, preload requirement, required hole layout, surface-treatment requirement and destination. For replacement projects, also provide photographs of the existing rail and block markings.
Send the required HGR30 rail length, quantity, matching block configuration, accuracy grade and preload requirement. We will check the complete model and quotation details before order confirmation.
