The Original HIWIN HGR25R linear guide rail is the top-mounting size-25 profile rail in the HIWIN HG heavy-load ball guideway series. This linear rail is intended for machine builders, maintenance teams and automation engineers who require an original HIWIN rail with counterbored mounting holes, a defined hole pattern and verified compatibility with HG25 square and flange blocks.
This is a rail-only product. Linear guide blocks, mounting bolts, lubrication accessories and other components are not included unless they are separately listed in the quotation or order confirmation. The HGR25R configuration is mounted from the top through the rail counterbores. The final order must identify the finished rail length, both end-hole distances, accuracy grade, matching block requirement and quantity.
Typical uses include CNC machine tools, machining centers, industrial automation axes and precision machinery. For replacement work, check the original marking and mounting-hole layout instead of selecting only by nominal size.

Load ratings and permissible moments are determined by the selected block and complete guideway assembly, not by the rail alone. Custom-cut rails must be confirmed by finished length and actual end-hole positions.
| Block Model | Block Type | Load Type / Structure | Use Note |
| HGH25CA | Square block | Heavy load, standard length | Compact square configuration for general machine-axis layouts |
| HGH25HA | Square block | Super heavy load, long type | Higher load capacity and moment resistance than the standard-length square block |
| HGW25CC | Flange block | Heavy load, standard length | Wide mounting platform with top or bottom block mounting options |
| HGW25HC | Flange block | Super heavy load, long type | Long flange configuration for higher load and moment requirements |
Select the block according to the mounting platform, load margin and moment condition. Blocks are ordered separately unless a complete set is quoted. Before reusing an existing block, confirm its marking, accuracy, preload condition and wear status.
The verified interchangeable accuracy codes for this HGR25R rail are C, H and P. C is the normal grade for general machinery and automation. H is the high grade for tighter dimensional control and running parallelism. P is the precision grade for accurately machined mounting surfaces and positioning systems requiring stricter guideway accuracy.
The verified preload codes for the complete HG25 guideway arrangement are Z0, ZA and ZB. Z0 corresponds to 0 to 0.02C, ZA corresponds to 0.05C to 0.07C, and ZB corresponds to 0.10C to 0.12C, where C is the basic dynamic load rating of the guideway assembly. Preload is created by the relationship between the rail, rolling elements and block; it is not an independent rail-only performance value.
Higher preload increases rigidity but also raises running resistance and sensitivity to mounting errors. ZB should only be selected for bases with suitable flatness, parallelism and assembly control. Accuracy and preload must match the selected blocks and machine requirement.
Confirm that the machine base requires an HGR25R top-mounting rail. A bottom-mounting design with threaded holes in the rail requires the HGR25T configuration and should not be ordered from this page. For replacement orders, provide the original rail marking or a drawing showing total rail length, mounting-hole pitch, first end distance and last end distance.
Custom cutting can be arranged after finished length, end-hole positions, cut-end condition and quantity are confirmed. Rails with the same total length may still have different hole layouts. For parallel pairs, confirm any marking or sequence requirement before processing.
Jointed rail sections may be considered when the required travel exceeds the practical single-piece length or when shipment length is restricted. Prepared sections must be installed according to their marked sequence and direction. On a two-rail system, the joint positions should be staggered instead of aligned. Jointed rails require an accurately machined and aligned base and are not a substitute for proper bed straightness or parallelism.
For HGR25R mounting with M6 × 1P bolts, the official reference torques are 13.73 N·m for iron, 9.21 N·m for cast iron and 6.86 N·m for aluminum bases. Check the final torque against the actual bolt, base material and machine-builder procedure.
Cross-brand model references are for selection comparison only. Rails and blocks from different brands cannot be mixed. For replacement projects, replace the rail and block as a complete set from the same brand. Similar nominal dimensions do not guarantee compatible raceway geometry, preload or manufacturing tolerances.
1. What information is required for an HGR25R quotation?
Provide the finished rail length, first and last end-hole distances, rail quantity, required accuracy grade, matching block models and quantities, application, destination country and postal code. For replacement work, include photos of the original marking or the mounting drawing.
2. Can an existing HG25 block be installed on a new HGR25R rail?
It can only be evaluated after confirming that the block is an original compatible HG25 model, the accuracy and preload conditions are compatible, and the block is not worn or damaged. Matched or high-precision assemblies are normally safer to replace as a complete set.
3. Can the end-hole distances be made to match an existing machine base?
Custom end distances can be checked from the customer drawing. The finished rail should not be processed until both end distances and the complete hole layout have been confirmed.
4. Can HGR25R rails be supplied as jointed sections?
Jointed supply can be evaluated according to total length, required accuracy, mounting-base condition and installation arrangement. The final feasibility must be confirmed before cutting and marking the rail sections.
5. Can a special material or coating be ordered?
Any stainless material, special coating or non-standard surface requirement must be checked against the complete HIWIN order code and actual supply availability. It is not included unless it is expressly confirmed in the quotation.
Send the complete HGR25R requirement, including finished length, hole layout, accuracy grade, matching blocks, quantities and destination. Replacement projects should include the existing rail marking, photos or mounting drawing so the configuration can be checked before quotation.
